For those of you who haven’t heard: in spite of our big, black furry friends, the bees produced a great crop of honey here this past summer, and they earned a blue ribbon at the Bethlehem Fair.
Luckily, we took the honey off early (before going to Brazil in October) because, soon after we left, the bears made repeated forays into the beeyard, upending hives and gorging on comb. But, thanks to good friends and relatives, the damage was minimized, and the bees now appear ready for winter.
So, at the present, we have an ample supply of some very tasty local honey, but we urge you not to wait to get your orders in for Christmas gifts, because others like Amazing Grains and Hopkins Vineyard may call again for another order.
Also, please let us know if you want Christmas or any other special labels. And, we will try to make some creamed honey later, if there’s enough interest.
Thanks,
The Honeymeisters
